Reimagining StewardshipReimagining Stewardship poster

The Presbyterian Foundation presents "Reimagining Stewardship" based on the book Kitchen Table Giving by Bill Enright. The presenters will be William G. Enright and Lisa Tait Longo. Books will be available for sale onsite.

Location: Mattoon, First
Time: Saturday October 13, 10am-3pm
Who should attend: Bring a team including the pastor, stewardship chairman and other stewardship leaders.
Cost: $25 per person, $75 for team of 4 (lunch included)

Keilman Trust Travel FundsKeilman Trust Funds for International Travel

Applications for 2019 travel funds will be accepted starting August 1, 2018.

The mission work that you engage in must be a sustainable, foreign Christian mission.

We ask that everyone going on the mission experience be endorsed by their Session or their church board. Priority for funds will be given to individuals and groups from churches in PSEI. Preference is given to smaller teams going for longer than one (1) week. All completed applications made for funding requests submitted by the deadline of November 30 will be considered.

We understand that international travel is difficult to plan for a year in advance, so we are willing to work with you to satisfy the Trust requirements, but you must be in contact with Pastor Andy Sonneborn well in advance of the November 30, 2018 deadline. Specific guidelines are here.

Our congregation's committee will prepare the 2019 budget to be approved by the Trustee some time in December 2018 or early January 2019. We strongly prefer that you email your applications to You can also mail your application to:

Youth EventShaving-Cream Whiffle Ball at Camp Carew

Camp Carew is hosting a Labor Day weekend Youth Event for all junior- and senior-high youth and youth leaders of PSEI congregations. The cost will be $50 per person for this August 31-September 2 event. You may register for the event and pay online here.

Marion Medical Mission TripClean water from a New Well

This Fall a group from the Presbytery of Southeastern Illinois will be travelling to east Africa to share the love of Christ with the extreme poor there by providing a sustainable source of clean, safe drinking water.

Confirmation CampOur 2018 Confirmands

The Presbytery's 2018 Confirmation Camp was a great experience. Special thanks to ruling elders Dan Kingery, Sheri Moberley, and David Rozanski and to ministers Laurie Fields, Bill McLean, Stu Smith, Dan Whitfield, and Chris Williams. We're confident these confirmands from Champaign, First and Mt. Vernon, First are prepared to be examined by their sessions.
